Privacy Policy for Stay Sharp Chrome Extension

1. Data Collection and Storage

Stay Sharp does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data or browsing history. The extension only stores the following information:

• Your list of blocked sites
• Your goals and suggested sites (if you add them)
• Your custom motivational message (if you set one)
• Temporary allow/whitelist settings

All data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome’s storage.sync and storage.local APIs. This allows your preferences to sync across your own Chrome browsers if you are signed in, but is never sent to any external server controlled by the extension author.

2. Data Usage

The data stored is used solely to provide the extension’s core functionality:

• Blocking distracting websites you specify
• Displaying your goals and motivational message
• Remembering your temporary allow/whitelist choices

No data is used for analytics, advertising, or profiling.

3. Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions:

• storage: To save your preferences and settings.
• declarativeNetRequest: To block or redirect websites you choose.
• host permissions: To apply blocking rules to any website you specify.

These permissions are required for the extension to function and do not grant access to your browsing history or page content.

4. No Remote Code or Tracking

Stay Sharp does not use or execute any remote code. All logic and resources are packaged within the extension. The extension does not use any analytics, trackers, or third-party scripts.

5. Data Sharing

No data is ever shared with third parties, advertisers, or external servers.
